Thomson Fertility Centre was established by Thomson Medical Centre in 1987, with the transfer of medical technology and specialists from the Assisted Conception Unit at King’s College Hospital, London. This ensured that the highest standards were achieved immediately at Thomson Fertility Centre. With its establishment, Thomson Medical Centre became the first private hospital in Singapore to offer In-vitro Fertilisation (IVF) treatment.

Thomson Fertility Centre made world news when it achieved the world’s first birth from frozen eggs and frozen testicular sperm. This breakthrough by our Chief Scientist offers new possibilities on IVF treatment.

Since its establishment, Thomson Fertility Centre has treated over 4,000 infertile couples.

Over the years, our IVF team has been striving to maintain the highest possible standard of service to couples, both from local population and from abroad. Close to 700 IVF babies have been born to-date through our assisted reproduction techniques.
